About Arango

At Arango, we believe the first generation of enterprise AI missed something essential: Context.

Models were powerful, but they didn’t understand the context needed to deliver accurate answers.

That’s why we’re building the trusted data foundation for Contextual AI—the System of Context that powers the next generation of intelligent applications.

The Arango AI Data Platform unifies graph, vector, document, key-value, and search in one integrated environment, giving teams everything they need to build GraphRAG, HybridRAG, and agentic solutions that deliver accurate answers, limitless scale, and cost efficiency.

We’re a global team based in California and Cologne, united by curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for helping developers, data engineers, and technology leaders innovate faster and smarter with AI. Thousands of innovators at companies like NVIDIA, HPE, the London Stock Exchange, the US Air Force, NIH, the French Ministry of Defense, Synopsys, and Articul8 trust Arango to power real-world AI in production.

If you’re excited about shaping the future of Contextual AI, come build with us.

About the Role:

We are seeking a part-time Software Developer Recruiter to join our global People Operations team. This is a critical role for an energetic, results-driven professional who thrives on ownership and speed. You will be responsible for driving the full-cycle recruitment process, with a primary focus on sourcing and closing top-tier Software Developers, including Engineers specialized in AI, C++, Java, QA, etc., while also supporting key hiring efforts across Sales and Marketing.

We operate in a fast-paced, remote-first environment driven by technical excellence and rapid growth. Our commitment is to building technology and teams that are truly world-class.

What You’ll Do:

  • Pipeline Generation: Own the end-to-end recruitment process for all technical roles, including Software Developers, AI/ML Engineers, and Solution Architects.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute creative, metrics-driven sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates within the highly competitive AI and software development talent pool.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Conduct detailed intake meetings, provide continuous calibration, and coach hiring managers on interview best practices and talent assessment.
  • Startup Strategy: Apply deep understanding of startup hiring dynamics, compensation expectations, and urgency to all searches.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide proactive market intelligence to leadership regarding talent availability, compensation trends, and competitor activity across both technical and non-technical domains.
  • Ownership: Take full ownership of all assigned requisitions, managing pipelines, meeting ambitious hiring targets, and communicating transparently on status and potential risks.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes and tools (ATS management, scorecards, email templates) to increase efficiency and candidate quality.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize recruiting metrics (time-to-hire, source of hire, pipeline conversion rates) to make informed decisions and present progress to leadership.
  • Be a flexible resource for the People team by assisting with a range of HR administrative and documentation duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on hiring Software Developers or Engineers within a technology or startup environment.
  • Proven strategic understanding of the challenges and competitive landscape for technical talent in the AI/Software industry.
  • High energy level, demonstrated a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and a proactive approach to pipeline development.
  • Proficiency with modern sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized technical platforms).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in a global high-growth technology startup.
  • Experience successfully supporting hiring efforts for Sales and Marketing roles
  • Entrepreneurial, builder mindset: comfortable rolling up your sleeves to design, launch, and optimize campaigns while building a strong foundation for future scale from the ground up.
